Sunwell Plateau opening

Sunwell Plateau opening

We are happy to announce the launch date of the fifth and final phase. Two weeks left to prepare!

Isle of Quel'Danas
Access opens to the Isle of Quel'Danas — an island north of Eversong Woods and the last zone of patch 2.4. This is where the Shattered Sun Offensive campaign unfolds: the united forces of the Aldor and the Scryers, sent by the Sha'tar, drive the remnants of Kael'thas's army from the island and try to stop the summoning of Kil'jaeden at the Sunwell. It is a daily quest hub with server-wide progress: by completing dailies, players retake the island step by step, going through the key stages Sun's Reach Sanctum → Sun's Reach Armory → Sun's Reach Harbor. As the island is retaken, new NPCs, quests and services appear:
— Repairers and vendors for Badge of Justice
— Gear vendors in Sun's Reach Armory — exchange T4, T5 and T6 tokens for Season 1/2 sets and Vindicator's gear
— A Shattrath → Quel'Danas portal for quick travel (back — a scroll from the Know Your Ley Lines daily)

Sunwell Plateau
At the start of the phase the first three bosses open: Kalecgos, Brutallus and Felmyst. The remaining bosses will open as the raid is cleared.
Boss unlock order
— At the start — Kalecgos, Brutallus, Felmyst.
— After Felmyst is killed → 2 lockouts later (14 days) the Eredar Twins (Lady Sacrolash and Grand Warlock Alythess) open.
— After the Eredar Twins are killed → 2 lockouts later M'uru opens.
— After M'uru is killed → 2 lockouts later Kil'jaeden, the final boss of the raid, opens.

Arena season 4 starts
Arena season 4 starts together with phase five. All team ratings will be reset, so everyone starts the season on equal terms.
All accumulated arena points will be automatically converted into honor points at a 1 to 5 rate.
Rating formula change
The rating formula will be reworked. It is based on the original formula, but with a number of simplifications.

Making Sunwell preparation easier
To make it easier for players to prepare for the final raid, we are making some changes.
From July 8 the lockout of all T4, T5 and T6 raids is reduced to 3–4 days. Lockouts will reset twice a week:
— on Wednesday at 04:00 Moscow time
— on Sunday at 04:00 Moscow time
You can now clear all the trash in T4 and T5 raids. To do this, the raid leader needs to open .menu and press a special button. This way you can head straight to the bosses without spending time clearing trash.

In Black Temple the door to Mother Shahraz now opens after Shade of Akama is killed, and in Hyjal Summit all bases are now available right away — bosses can be killed in any order.
